Clint Marsh
Owner / Operator
Clint is the owner and founder of War Horse Ink. He graduated from Southeast high school in 2004 excelling in fine arts. After school, Clint put aside his artistic goals to answer our nation's call in the fight against terrorism. Enlisting in the Army, Clint served as an airborne infantryman in the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. Shortly after his enlistment he was sent to various locations across the Middle East where he was tasked with conducting special operations behind enemy lines. During his time in combat, Clint learned much about leadership but he also brought home a lot of battlefield stress. After leaving the military in 2008, he began to get heavily tattooed as a therapeutic way to relieve some of that stress. It wasn’t long before he realized his old goals of making art professionally, and this began his pursuit of a career in tattoos and piercings. Working at multiple shops during his apprenticeship and early years, Clint learned as much as he could before opening his own shop in 2016. War Horse Ink was born! A small operation at first, but in a short period of time, the company grew into a very large organization with multiple locations and numerous artists and piercers. Clint now spends most of his workday dealing with administrative tasks and managing the company. He tattoos when possible, but his responsibilities as the owner has taken priority. In his free time, Clint continues his service as a volunteer fire fighter and a rescue diver for the portage county water rescue team. He is married to his wonderful wife Megan and has three little girls who keep him busy as well. Clint’s mission is to serve his community relentlessly, and to raise his family while simultaneously raising the standards of the tattooing industry as War Horse Ink continues to grow. Clint's books are currently closed. Keep an eye on his Facebook and Instagram accounts in the meantime! Clint's favorite style to tattoo is black and grey.
